His family, via a statement conveyed by the Charlotte Chess Center, announced his “unexpected passing.” They asked for privacy during this “extremely difficult time”.
Naroditsky had been a prominent figure in the chess world — a grandmaster, commentator, author, and educator. He was highly regarded in the community for both his competitive strength and his streaming/teaching work.
